MUMBLES AT WAR
Mumbles Hill and the Lighthouse Island during WW2
LATEST-Revealing the Second World War Heavy Anti-Aircraft Gun Emplacement
Work took place on Mumbles Hill over three days at the end of January 2010 that now enables the third emplacement, of the original battery of four, to be viewed.

2010 WALKS & TALKS ON MUMBLES HILL-
will take place on Tuesday 15th June at 2pm and 27th July also at 2pm.

The hill is now a Local Nature Reserve and the public are able to have free access to the site.
INTERPRETATION BOARDS Are at each World War Two battery site on Mumbles Hill. They contain photographs, maps and details of the history, and weapons available.
MAP-The Google satellite image of Mumbles Hill Nature Reserve on a later page maps the gun emplacements, control bunker, footpaths car parks and access points.
CAR PARKING- including disabled, can be found on Thistleboon Drive.
LEAFLETS-are available from Mumbles Local History Centre
This winter and spring, we will be continuing to clear intrusive vegetation, from around the structures, prior to a site survey.
